Tips for Quick Differentials

Suppose we have to find the first derivative of function

By the theorem of differentiation we will calculate

Performing this rule we proceed like this ...


The formula in red is the shorthand formula to find the first derivative of the linear fraction function above.

For a composite function, say


The first derivative is can be found by the shorthand formula



Notice that u here is a function of x.
